Security firm opens government office

Security systems integrator ATC International Holdings Inc. has set up a government systems division to serve the company's federal, state and local clients in the U.S. and foreign government clients.

The new division will oversee ATC's government security contracts, including airports, seaports, bus systems, intermodal transportation and water and other utilities. Phillip Gravino will run the division.

"Our government work is the largest sector of the company, and we anticipate it will continue to grow under our new structure," said Chris Cavallo, president of ATC International.

Last June, ATC, formerly known as ATC Biometric Technologies, restructured to become a systems integrator specializing in custom security systems and other biometric systems.

Based in Miami, ATC is a private company founded in 1993 and employs more than 100 workers. The company has offices in El Salvador and Rome, and plans to open additional offices this year in Washington and Mexico City and a Latin American center in Columbia.
