Edmonds Enterprises makes a deal
A company founded by Albert Edmonds, retired Air Force general and former president of EDS Corp.'s government business, makes its first acquisition since being founded in September.
Edmonds Enterprise Services Inc., has acquired Logistics Applications Inc., a Defense Department contractor. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Edmonds Enterprise Services is headed by Albert Edmonds, a retired Air Force general and former president of EDS Corp.'s government business. He founded the Alexandria, Va.-based company in September.
The deal for Logistics Applications is Edmonds first. LAI's founder William Walker will remain as president and then transition to a consulting role, Edmonds said.
LAI ? founded in 1986 ? provides technical services to the Department of Defense along with other government agencies and private sector businesses. The company focuses on business-facilities management and information technology training, officials said.
LAI's revenue ranges from $10 million to $12 million a year, Edmonds said. LAI has about 200 employees.
