SRA lands Millennia Lite deal for Air Force

SRA International Inc. won a five-year, $19.1 million competitive task order from the General Services Administration to provide integration management support services to the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System Formal Training Base, the company said today.

SRA will provide the services to Goodfellow Air Force Base in Texas under the Millenia Lite contract, a governmentwide acquisition vehicle that offers an array of information technology services. The contract has a maximum value of $20 billion through 2010 and includes 33 prime contractors.

The Air Force Distributed Common Ground System is a multi-intelligence, network-centric weapons system that provides information to the Joint Task Force and the Air Operations Center. SRA will support its formal training unit by developing Web-based course technology, interactive courseware and e-learning solutions. The company also will provide program management, systems and database administration and software development services.

SRA's team includes Meridian Knowledge Solutions Inc. of Chantilly, Va.; Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego; SBI Technologies Corp. of Reston, Va.; and Spectrum Comm Inc. of Hampton, Va.

"The SRA team will take an enterprise approach to transforming Air Force DCGS training into a fully integrated, network-focused knowledge management enterprise," said Herb Kemp, vice president of C4ISR operations in SRA's Adroit C4ISR Center.

Fairfax, Va.-based SRA provides IT services and solutions to federal government agencies and is No. 31 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of prime federal contractors. It employs approximately 3,400 workers and had revenue of $615.8 million for the fiscal year ended June 30.
