ACS wins Fla. electronic toll services deal

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. won a five-year, $8.2 million contract from Florida's Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority to provide customer support and processing services, the company announced this week.

Under the contract, ACS of Dallas will operate customer service and violation processing centers at three locations in Orlando. After a two-month transition, ACS will take over operations on Aug. 1. The company will have about 70 employees working on the project.

In addition to Florida, ACS provides electronic toll transaction services for bridges and highways in California, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.
