Security task order goes to Abacus Technology

Abacus Technology Corp. received a $10.7 million task order to supply technology enhancements for security systems at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, the company said last week.
The Chevy Chase, Md., firm provides enterprise information technology and business services. Its technology solution for Andrew Air Force Base includes an advanced command and control system, surveillance capabilities and integrated automated entry control system.
The work order also includes maintenance, training and data.
The order is the first under the $498 million Integrated Base Defense Security System Program offered by the Electronic Systems Center's Force Protection C2 Program Office at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts, the company said.
The company was one of four companies selected for the program contract last September.
