CACI gets SSA IT services BPA

The Social Security Administration has negotiated a five-year blanket purchasing agreement with CACI International Inc. to provide IT services.

The work comes to the Arlington, Va., company as a result of its acquisition of CMS Information Services Inc. CACI finalized the acquisition of the Vienna, Va., company early last month.

SSA reset the BPA in February. It has a ceiling value of $45 million and expands CACI's work for the agency.

Under the terms of the new BPA, the former CMS team, now with CACI, will continue to support the agency's systems, installing and maintaining hardware and software, managing LANs and WANs, supporting computer operations, and providing help desk and related IT services.

Work has already begun at agency headquarters in Baltimore and at a field office in Falls Church, Va.
