Brubaker joins SI International

Paul Brubaker is joining SI International Inc. as executive vice president and chief marketing officer, the company announced Dec. 16.

Brubaker rose to prominence in the government IT sector in the 1990s, when he served as deputy assistant secretary of defense under Secretary William Cohen, managing more than $50 million each year in technology expenditures.

Most recently, Brubaker was founder and principal of ICG Government Inc., a consulting firm advising IT service providers in marketing to federal clients.

After leaving the Defense Department, he served as president and general manager of Commerce One e-Government Solutions, which Brubaker and other executives and investors bought out and renamed Aquilent.

At SI International, he will be responsible for all corporate marketing activities, including sales, business development, strategic marketing plans, major program initiatives and customer retention. Brubaker will report to Brad Antle, president and chief operating officer.

SI International, based in Reston, Va., reported 2002 revenue of just under $150 million. The company was founded in October 1998, and went public in November 2002. SI is ranked No. 83 on Washington Technology's Top 100 list.
