The agency provides telecommunications and related support to the president, the vice president, their senior staffs, the National Security Council, the U.S. Secret Protective Forces and others as directed by the White House Military Office.
The system used by the White House Communications Center is known as the Jupiter Network Service System, consisting of two Digital Equipment Corp. VAX 4300 processors and associated peripherals.
