Lockheed Martin Corp. has reorganized its Integrated Systems & Solutions unit, creating new business lines and teams of subject-matter experts.<br>

The subject-matter experts will direct cross-company teams to develop strategies and architectures and ensure the integration of related systems, products and services.Stan Sloane was named executive vice president for IS&S. He had been president of Lockheed Martin Management & Data Systems. The IS&S unit employs about 12,000 people in Gaithersburg; Valley Forge, Pa.; Fairfax, Va.; San Jose, San Diego and Santa Maria, Calif.; Colorado Springs and Denver, Colo.; and Phoenix.

Lockheed Martin Corp. has reorganized its Integrated Systems & Solutions unit, officials of the Bethesda, Md., company said today.

The reorganization will more closely align company resources to meet customer needs for integrated, network-centric solutions, officials said.

Defense and other national security customers are increasingly turning to these types of solutions, which provide comprehensive information on demand, the company said.

The reorganization of the Gaithersburg, Md., IS&S unit creates new business lines and teams of subject-matter experts that will draw upon expertise throughout Lockheed Martin to provide customers with the system-of-systems capabilities they need to support joint and net-centric operations.

The lines of business are:

  • complex systems for geospatial-intelligence

  • command, control and communications

  • surveillance and reconnaissance

  • space-ground integration

  • classified intelligence

  • combat support

  • homeland security.
