Harris realigns government unit
Harris Corp. has realigned its Government Communications Systems Division.
"Government Communications Systems is our largest operating division and has delivered outstanding revenue growth and profitability improvement during the past several years," said Howard Lance, who is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Harris.Harris had $1.9 billion in 2002 revenue and was ranked No. 25 on Washington Technology's Top 100.
Civil programs, which will focus on communications and information solutions for civil agencies. Allen Dukes will serve as president for this unit.
Defense, which will focus on ground, airborne and space communications programs. Daniel Pearson has been named president for this unit.
National programs, which will focus on classified missions. Russell Haney was named president for this unit.
Technical services, which provides professional services, operations and maintenance, and information technology solutions. Jeremy Wensinger serves as general manager.
Homeland security, which will be overseen by general manager Michael Zeitfuss.
Maritime communication systems, which provides communications solutions. Andrew Clark will serve as president for this unit.
Harris Corp., Melbourne, Fla., has realigned its Government Communications Systems Division, the company announced this week.
The division, headquartered in Palm Bay, Fla., will consist of six customer business units. The executives of all units will report to Robert Henry, senior vice president of Harris and president of the division.
