CACI gets $60 million in military health system business

CACI International Inc. has won two prime contracts totaling $60 million from the Department of Defense to support the military's Tricare health program.

CACI International Inc. has won two prime contracts totaling $60 million from the Department of Defense to support the military's Tricare health program, the company announced this week.

Under one contract, the Arlington, Va.-based company will provide management, planning and resources to help centralize Tricare's marketing and education capabilities, while under the other contract CACI will provide support for Tricare's customer call center.

Both contracts are for one-year with four option years, the company said.

CACI will help Tricare with national and international communications, including the development of marketing brochures, news releases, newsletters, Web sites, exhibitions and other public relations activities.

The company also will provide Internet and help desk support, fielding initial beneficiary inquiries from uniformed service members, retirees and family members.

Tricare provides medical and health benefits to more than 8.7 million uniformed servicemen and women, retirees, and their beneficiaries.

CACI, a provider of IT and network solutions for defense, intelligence and e-government, has about 6,900 employees and annual sales of $843 million.
