BAE wins Navy radio contract

The deal could be worth $54.5 million if options are exercised over three years. It was awarded by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in Charleston, S.C.
BAE of Farnborough, U.K., will design, procure, integrate, test, deliver and install radio systems and command and control systems at shipyards around the country. The work will be done on multiple classes of ships, including aircraft carriers, amphibious war ships, and military sealift command ships.
