Dyntek grabs Texas cybersecurity deal

Dyntek Inc. has won a two-year contract from the Texas Department of Information Resources for cybersecurity products and services, the company announced June 18. The contract value was not disclosed.

Under the direct purchasing contract, Dyntek of Irvine, Calif., will provide a wide range of support to state agencies, local governments and educational facilities.

Dyntek is authorized to supply security products from Sanctum Software Inc., Elron Software Inc. and Counterpane Monitoring Services Inc. The company also will offer related services, such as installation, support, maintenance and training.

Denny Denniston, senior vice president of business development at Dyntek, said the award is a key contract vehicle that will greatly facilitate the company's ability to furnish solutions to government entities in Texas.

"We have continued to gain significant traction in [Texas] over the past year, and this latest contract will give Dyntek a competitive advantage," he said.

Dyntek provides technology and management solutions to the state and local government sector. The company has about 400 employees and annual sales of $83 million.
