HP wins $44 million worth of USDA procurements

Hewlett-Packard Co., Palo Alto, Calif., won more than $44 million worth of product and service contracts from the Department of Agriculture, the company announced April 9.

The fulfillments were completed under the Common Computing Environment, a USDA initiative to standardize IT purchases across its offices.

HP will provide approximately 3,000 HP ProLiant servers and approximately 4250 printers. The contractors involving servers totaled about $32 million, while the printer contract totaled about $8 million.

The company was also contracted for $4.25 million for server upgrades and services.

The purchases were made through contracts from the Natural Resource Conservation Service and Farm Service Agency.
