The GAO found that the companies:
* Align IT training with business goals
* Assess training needs rather than simply fulfilling training requests
* Ensure that training projects are effectively identified and implemented
* Use instructor-led training and technology to deliver training to students' desktops
* Use tests, certifications and measuring business results to evaluate training.
