ASI wins $23 million IT support contract

Analytical Sciences Inc. won a seven-year contract to provide IT support for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

Analytical Sciences Inc., Durham, N.C., won a $23 million, seven-year contract to provide IT support for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, the company announced Sept. 25.


ASI will provide programming, Web development, database management and other services. Through this contractual vehicle, any offices within the institute can write task orders requesting IT support services from ASI.


"Our key strength is having the corporate experience to provide leading-edge technology solutions from a well-informed, public health research perspective," said Chris LeGrand, ASI vice president of operations and chief technology officer.


To support the contract, ASI has opened an office in Morgantown, W.Va., and will hire about 30 new technical personnel. ASI employs about 530 people.

Founded in 1983, ASI conducts research and provides technical and professional services to help government and industry clients identify and solve problems affecting human health.
