Modern Technologies nets task order worth up to $400M

Modern Technologies Corp. has won a task order worth up to $400 million over 10 years to provide engineering and technical services to the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base, Ogden, Utah for Joint Threat Emitter Systems, the company announced Aug. 22.



MTC of Dayton, Ohio, received the task order under the Air Force's $7 billion Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool contract, also called FAST. The initial order is worth $9 million for near-term engineering work. The order is worth $400 million if all options are exercised over 10 years.



MTC will provide support for mobile simulated threat emitters, integrated with sensors and command and control centers on various training ranges providing air crews with training in threat environments simulating actual combat conditions.

MTC also will define, produce, test, integrate, interface, install and provide for logistic support of Joint Threat Emitter systems and associated equipment needed to provide improved realistic electronic warfare training. Work will be performed for the Ogden Air Logistics Center's Space and C3I Directorate.



Northrop Grumman Amherst Systems will support MTC's efforts. The unit of Los Angeles-based Northrop Grumman Corp. is located in Buffalo, N.Y.



The task order is the largest MTC has received from the Ogden Air Logistics Center and has a larger potential value than previous task orders awarded under the FAST program, MTCT executives said.



Modern Technologies Corp. is a wholly owned subsidiary of MTC Technologies Inc. The company provides engineering, technical, and management services to Department of Defense, NASA, federal agencies and commercial customers.
