Lockheed Martin wins $102 million defense work

Lockheed Martin Systems Integration Inc. has won a five-year, $102 million contract with the Defense Civilian Personnel Management Service to provide a personnel management system, the company announced June 18.

Under the contract, Lockheed Martin Systems Integration of Owego, N.Y., and its subcontractors will provide systems integration, operation and sustainment, program management, system maintenance and technology infusion for the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System.

The Department of Defense will use the system, which supports more than 500,000 business rules, to process personnel transactions and maintain records on its more than 800,000 civilian employees.

The contract renews an existing contract that Lockheed Martin has with the Defense Department to support the system. The contract was awarded under the information technology omnibus procurement contract vehicle through the Department of Transportation.

Seven other companies, as well as another unit of Lockheed Martin Corp., Bethesda, Md., will participate as subcontractors on the project. The companies are Affiliated Computer Services Inc., Dallas; AnviCom Inc., Dunn Loring, Va.; Decision Systems Technologies Inc., Dayton, Ohio; Diversified Technical Services Inc., El Paso, Texas; dNovus Research Dynamics Inc., San Antonio; Object CTalk Inc., King of Prussia, Pa.; and ThinkSpark L.P., San Antonio.
