Computer Sciences Corp. has nabbed a seven-year, $60 million contract from the United Kingdom's Department of Health for information technology outsourcing, the company said June 27.
The contract has three one-year options of unspecified value, according to the El Segundo, Calif.-based company.
Andrew Holt, director of IT for the department of health, said the outsourcing agreement will increase the department's effectiveness by improving remote connectivity for its offsite workers.
The agreement also will improve the department's network communications with the National Health Service and other partner institutions, he said.
