CSC nets $75 million DFAS task order

Computer Sciences Corp. will support the Kansas City, Mo., office of the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.

Computer Sciences Corp. of Falls Church, Va., has won a $75 million task order to support the Kansas City, Mo., office of the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, the company said June 18.


Under the task order, CSC will maintain the software and systems for the DFAS' Kansas City office, which runs the pay and personnel functions for approximately 480,000 active, reserve and retired members of the Marine Corps. The order will span five years if the Corps exercises all options.


Approximately 150 CSC engineers and computer specialists will perform the work, a company spokesman said. CSC's partners for this work will include Analysts International Corp. of Minneapolis; Computing Technologies Inc. of Fairfax, Va.; Reliable Integration Services Inc. of Dunn Loring, Va.; and Nash Resources Group, Kansas City, Mo.


CSC has supported the Kansas City DFAS operation since 1989.
