EPA is focused on air pollution, water pollution, solid waste and regulation of chemical products. It works with other federal agencies and the states in enforcing laws and monitoring regulation compliance. It sets national standards and issues sanctions in areas where standards are not met. This is worth noting regardless of which federal agency you want to work with. Another nice feature of the Web site is the "Recent Additions" link. Although primarily a collection of press releases, it contains all information recently added to the site and the EPA office to which it pertains. Water, water everywhere: The 2003 budget features many initiatives regarding water quality, including $3 billion to keep water clean and safe, of which $2 billion is to improve local waste water and drinking water.
