DFAS taps SAIC for education and training
Science Applications International Corp. has won a $65 million contract from the Defense Finance Accounting Service for education and training services.
Science Applications International Corp. has won a $65 million contract from the Defense Finance Accounting Service for education and training services, the company announced May 14.
The award is a follow-on contract for DFAS' Financial Management Education Training contract. SAIC of San Diego will provide the services under a five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule blanket purchase agreement.
SAIC will provide DFAS with education and training services supporting its financial management operations. These services include training management, needs analysis, courseware development, instructional delivery, courseware update and maintenance and training evaluation.
SAIC will provide training to DFAS and its customers in the form of instructor-based training, computer-based training and Web-based training. The project will be based in Southbridge, Mass.
The SAIC team includes Aon Consulting, Chicago, Ill.; Diverse Technologies Corp., Clinton, Md.; Khan and Hill, Arlington, Va.; SBI Consulting, Reston, Va.; and the University of Massachusetts.
