Titan lands $103 million Air Force deal
Titan Corp. won a four-year contract with the Electronic Services Center to provide IT services.
Titan Corp. won a four-year, $103 million contract with the Air Force's Electronic Services Center to provide information technology services, the company announced April 12.
The contract, which runs through December 2006, is worth an estimated $103 million if all options are exercised, the company said. Titan will provide IT services to the Combat Air Force Command and Control Systems program office.
Under the contract, San Diego-based Titan will provide program technical and management support for the acquisition, integration and continued evolution of the program office's product lines and programs.
The programs include theater and force command and control systems, battle management and crisis action systems, wing and unit command and control systems, weather systems, the Peace Shield program, the foreign military sales programs, development planning and integration programs, the aerospace operations center weapon system and combined aerospace operations center experimental.
Since the beginning of this year, Titan has won $499 million in new contracts, said Eric DeMarco, Titan's executive vice president and chief operating officer. The Electronic Systems Center award is the second contract Titan has won this year with a value of more than $100 million, he said.
"We believe these large contract wins and the momentum that we have been able to generate demonstrate the value of our growth strategy," DeMarco said.
