Signal lands $28.6 million Navy contract

Signal Corp. won a $28.6 million contract with the Navy in support of satellite communications, the company announced Feb. 13.

The three-year contract was awarded through the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in Charleston, S.C. It will be performed in Charleston, the Tidewater Virginia area and Dahlgren, Va., as well as other naval installations.

Work will focus on engineering and technical services needed to support satellite communications for Navy ships and shore activities. It includes installation, maintenance, tests and evaluations and support.

"This latest contract is another example of our partnering efforts with the Department of Defense in helping to modernize and transform existing systems with the most cutting-edge technology."
