TruSecure builds upon Three Pillars

TruSecure Corp. has acquired Three Pillars Inc., a provider of security outsourcing, monitoring and intelligence services.

TruSecure Corp. of Herndon, Va., a provider of information security services to government and commercial customers, has acquired Three Pillars Inc., a Norcross, Ga., provider of security outsourcing, monitoring and intelligence services, TruSecure announced Jan. 28. Financial terms were not disclosed.

"With the Three Pillars acquisition, TruSecure will be able to provide our customers with a uniquely comprehensive approach to identifying and managing security risks in real time," said Adam Joseph, president and CEO of TruSecure.

The privately held company's services include development of security architecture and policies and implementation of preventative risk management programs. It publishes the monthly magazine Information Security. With the acquisition, it adds management, maintenance and real-time monitoring of critical security infrastructure.

Three Pillars executives Thomas Joseph, Carl Humes and Jim DeBald will join TruSecure as senior vice president of managed services, vice president of managed services operations, and vice president of channels worldwide, respectively.

To complement its existing security operations center, TruSecure will acquire Three Pillars' security operations center in Norcross, Ga. TruSecure will also acquire Three Pillars' channel alliances worldwide.

"Managed security services are continuing to gain traction. Market participants are positioning for market leadership by rounding out their portfolio of offerings," said Allan Carey, senior analyst at IDC of Framingham, Mass. "TruSecure's acquisition of Three Pillars adds real-time remote management and monitoring to its current roster of proactive services. This augments TruSecure's ability to compete for customers looking for end-to-end, integrated security services."
