SRA to modernize export license system

SRA International Inc. won a $22.5 million contract to automate the U.S. export license application process.

SRA International Inc., Fairfax, Va., won a $22.5 million contract to automate the U.S. export license application process, the company announced Jan. 14.

The Export System Modernization task order, issued by the Department of Defense's Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy, was awarded under the NIH Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners 2 contract.

SRA will provide systems and software design, security engineering, integration testing services and program management.

The system will allow companies to submit export license data electronically and track the application process. It is expected to take 39 months to complete the system.

Before the win, SRA assisted the U.S. Export Systems Interagency Program Management Office to integrate the review process among agencies.
