Hansen Information Technologies has won a $3.2 million contract to provide solutions to help in the management and coordination of building permitting, licensing, code enforcement and citizen relationship management activities in Louisville, Ky., the company announced Dec. 19.

The contract was awarded jointly by the city of Louisville, surrounding Jefferson County and the Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District, Hansen said.

Hansen of Sacramento, Calif., will provide hardware, software, professional services, data conversion, systems integration and training. The project will be implemented in three phases over the next year, the company said.

The new system will be used to enhance response to customer requests, improve the management of development review and permit applications, promote departmental and inter-agency integration and provide easier data access for customers and staff, Hansen said.

The system will add the permitting, licensing and code enforcement module to the existing Hansen asset-based work management system already in place at the Metropolitan Sewer District, and extend use of the Hansen customer service module into a unified call center solution handling citizen calls to the three government entities.

Hansen provides citizen call center solutions for state and local governments as well as asset management, building permit, code enforcement, public works, transportation and utility billing solutions. The privately held company has about 210 employees.
