SAIC Lands $596 Million Navy Task Order
Science Applications International Corp. will provide the Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command with systems engineering and integration technical support.
Science Applications International Corp. won a $596 million task order to provide the Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command with systems engineering and integration technical support, the company announced Nov. 6.
The task order was awarded through the General Services Administration's Millennia contract. The order is for one year, with an option for another four years, the company said.
The SAIC team will provide technical engineering support to Spawar such as systems architecture definition, system engineering, system design, configuration control, pre-installation and post-installation testing, systems integration, information security, and engineering support for acquisition for all Spawar business areas.
The business areas include command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; information technology; targeting; and information operations/information warfare.
SAIC, based in San Diego, is leading a team with 19 large businesses and 18 small businesses. They include Northrop Grumman Corp., Titan Systems Corp., Booz-Allen Hamilton Inc., Computer Systems Corp., Lockheed Martin Corp., Systems Research and Applications, TRW Inc., Indus Technology Inc.; Anteon Corp., King Technologies, Ocean Systems Engineering Corp., and Silver Bullet Solutions Inc.
