DynCorp Extends FCC Support Work

DynCorp, Reston, Va., won technical support work worth up to $32 million from the Federal Communications Commission, the company announced Nov. 13.

DynCorp subsidiary DynCorp Information & Enterprise Technology, Inc., Fairfax, Va., won two of four prime task blocks under a FCC system technical support contract. The company will provide technical support for both licensing systems and tracking systems-both of which DynCorp has performed for the FCC since 1992.

The other two winners of prime task blocks on the FCC contract were Titan Systems Corp., San Diego, and CompuTech, Bethesda, Md.

Titan Systems won the miscellaneous technical support block, for which DynCorp is a subcontractor. CompuTech was awarded the track for financial systems technical support.

The contract vehicle consolidates system management tasks that had previously been competed as individual contracts. The initial consolidated vehicle was divided into four task-specific blocks, of which no one contractor can be awarded prime status for more than two.
