SRA International Lands National Guard Contract

SRA International, Inc., Fairfax Va., has been awarded an eight-year contract worth up to $50 million to support a nationwide training telecommunications network for the National Guard Bureau, the company announced Oct. 2.

Under terms of this General Services Administration federal supply schedule contract, SRA will maintain and enhance the GuardNet network, which will connect 54 U.S. states and territories. The network consolidates video and data communications to support distance learning, mobilization, disaster assistance, incident response, information operations, and National Guard missions.

The SRA team will provide systems integration, network operation and security, database management and support for classified and encrypted messaging systems.

Subcontractors include DynCorp, Reston, Va.; Integrated Information Technology Corp., Greenwood Village, Colo. and SNVC L.C., Burke, Va.

"The comprehensive set of IT services we deliver will focus on customer satisfaction and sustaining and improving the reliability and availability of the network and other parts of the IT infrastructure," said Michael Yocom, vice president of integrated management solutions for SRA.
