ITS Medical Systems Wins $40M Army Contract

ITS Medical Systems LLC of Norcross, Ga., has won a five-year contract worth up to $40 million from the Army Forces Command's Atlanta Contracting Center to continue supporting the Army Reserve Command's medical training sites.


ITS Medical Systems is a joint venture owned by Computer Sciences Corp. of El Segundo, Calif., DynCorp of Reston, Va., and Advanced Management for Medical Equipment Inc. of Frederick, Md.


The cost-plus-award-fee contract is valued at approximately $40 million if all options are exercised.


Under the award, ITS Medical Systems will continue to provide all management and personnel, as well as some equipment, to operate the Reserve Training Sites-Medical at Fort Gordon, Ga.; Fort McCoy, Wis.; and Parks Reserve Forces Training Area, Calif.

ITS Medical Systems also will provide training, supply, maintenance and administration support at each site. The joint venture has provided these services since 1996.


The training sites were originally designed to provide new equipment training and refresher training for units equipped with deployable medical systems, which are used to create various field hospital configurations.

The Reserve Training Sites-Medical program scope has expanded through collective unit training and other methods to prepare Army forces more effectively for their missions.


ITS Medical Systems employs approximately 160 personnel. The American Legion last year honored the joint venture with the Employer of the Year award for midsize companies.
