The Information Technology Association of America released guidelines to help federal customers of application service providers navigate the terms and conditions of service level agreements. The agreements set the performance parameters between an ASP and a customer and are subject to federal acquisition regulations.

The guidelines include information on security, tracking and reporting, system performance, remedies, upgrades, help-desk services and several other key aspects of a service level agreement. They are available at www.itaa.org/asp/itaaslafed.pdf.
An Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76 cost comparison study is being solicited by the Training and Doctrine Command, Contracting Activity at Fort Eustis, Va., for services in support of the Directorate of Information Management functions at Fort Lee, Va.

The procurement is an 8(a) set-aside but may be converted to a small business set-aside. The solicitation package will be at www.tac.eustis.army.mil Aug. 1; proposals are due Sept. 17.

The Installation Business Office-Contracting at Fort Bragg, N.C., is soliciting proposals for an A-76 study for its Information Technology Business Center. The contract will be a small business set-aside. This solicitation is to be released Aug. 21; proposals are due Oct. 5. It may be found at www.bragg.army.mil/wwwdoc/Contractors/SOLICIT.htm or acquisition.army.mil.The Federal Election Commission is about to issue a request for proposal for a five-year computer support services contract. The contractor will provide communications and hardware that will use software developed specifically for FEC. The contractor also must provide hardware and software for displaying existing images of filings on the Internet, including indexing, storage and retrieval of some 5 million existing page images.
