Baker Wins $25 Million Navy Contract
The Michael Baker Corp. won a contract worth up to $25 million over five years from the Navy Atlantic Division for professional planning and engineering services to help the Navy align its shore facilities with evolving missions and threats.
The Michael Baker Corp. won a contract worth up to $25 million over five years from the Navy Atlantic Division to provide professional planning and engineering services to help the Navy align its shore facilities with evolving missions and threats.
The contract involves a range of services, including master planning, environmental documentation in support of planning activities, computerized facility management and geographical information systems.
These services will be provided at facilities throughout the Atlantic Division-Naval Facilities Engineering Command's area of responsibility, covering the eastern United States and Europe.
John Whiteford, executive vice president and manager of the northern region for Baker, said the Coraopolis, Pa., company has a long history of supporting the Atlantic Division, both domestically and overseas.
"This contract provides Baker the opportunity to expand our relationship both in terms of the nature and location of services provided," Whiteford said in a June 4 statement announcing the award.
