Tech Data Corp., Clearwater, Fla., announced an agreement with Advanced Micro Devices Inc. to provide logistics management and other value-added services for the manufacturer's line of computer processors.

Under terms of the deal, Tech Data will now offer systems integrators AMD's fast-growing line of Duron and Athlon products.

AMD of Sunnyvale, Calif., a leading supplier of integrated circuits for the world of personal and networked computing and communications, had $2.9 billion in revenue in 1999. Tech Data posted sales of $17 billion for its most recent fiscal year, which ended Jan. 31.

"Demand for products within the processor category is accelerating, most notably from systems integrators who are looking to expand their current B2B offering," said Dan Ahlstedt, Tech Data's vice president and general manager of components product marketing.Ingram Micro Inc., Santa Ana., Calif., the largest global wholesale provider of technology products and services, has forged a product and logistics management outsourcing agreement with GE Capital IT Solutions, Newport, Ky.

GE Capital IT Solutions, a global provider of information technology solutions and sales integration services, had sales of about $500 million, according to Hoover's Online market research service.

Under the terms of the pact, Ingram Micro will provide GE Capital IT Solutions with comprehensive services for product procurement, custom configuration, logistics, order fulfillment and returns management in the United States.
