OCT. 10 ? The Kentucky Office of Technology picked Anexsys LLC to provide integrated voice response services to state agencies and local jurisdictions to support electronic government.

The two-year master agreement allows any Kentucky agency to use the integrated voice response services provided by Chicago-based Anexsys without having to issue a formal request for proposal.

Anexsys will provide state agencies with services such as project management, integration into electronic government applications and database development. The voice response services will assist citizens who want to pay fines, fees and taxes; update state records; and obtain benefits statements.

The value of the contract depends on the amount of work Anexsys performs for government agencies and local jurisdictions, a Kentucky official said.

Anexsys designs, builds and maintains Internet-based systems to help federal, state and local governments provide efficient services to their constituents. The company has about 150 employees and regional offices in Boston, Columbus, Ohio, and Washington.

Anexsys is a joint venture between Bank One Corp. of Chicago and Firstar Corp. of Milwaukee.
