Library of Congress awards 5 seats on $162M IT support contract

Library officials created the contract to help it run network, database and web-based applications.
The Library of Congress has awarded five companies positions on a potential five-year, $162.2 million contract for operations and maintenance work on IT systems.
Library officials created the IT Operational Support Services IDIQ contract to acquire help from industry in running the agency’s network, database and web-based applications for end users and mission functions.
Awardees and their total evaluated prices announced Tuesday are as follows:
- AdaptiveStack Technologies -- $29.7 million
- AdaptiveVets Solutions -- $29.9 million
- Inserso Corp -- $27.9 million
- Intellect Solutions -- $37.7 million
- Tista Science and Technology Corp. -- $37 million
The library is also emphasizing agile processes in this contract with the goal of obtaining quick customer feedback and further iterating products.
Solicitation documents released in December break out the main task areas as including:
- Software and infrastructure for servers, storage and security systems
- Network services supporting voice and data communications
- Database, messaging and collaboration tools
- System performance
- End-user device and peripheral support
- Data center operations
- Independent verification, validation and software testing
- End-user training
A number of bids submitted was not available at the time of publication.
