LMI to bring AI tools to Army acquisitions

LMI has won a $47.6 million contract to apply artificial intelligence capabilities to how the Army manages acquisitions tasks, policies and documents.

The company will use its LIGER generative AI solution to build acquisition tools for DASA DES -- the office of the deputy assistant secretary of the Army for data, engineering, and software.

The LIGER solution uses data analytics and machine learning to deliver generative AI solutions for clients, according to LMI

“LIGER unlocks a more agile and data-centric government, revolutionizing how the Department of Defense operates,” Karen Goodson, vice president of LMI’s Army business, said in a release. “By harnessing the power of AI, we're driving digital transformation efforts while focusing on innovation and modernization at scale for the U.S. Army’s data, engineering, and software capabilities.”

The Army will use LIGER to streamline complex tasks; locate and synthesize information from Army policies, market research, and acquisition documents; and develop high quality products more quickly and efficiently.
