ManTech secures $110M Air Force digital transformation contract

The company will use artificial intelligence and other technologies to consolidate and modernize the Air Force's human capital management systems.

ManTech International has booked a three-year, $110 million contract to support digital transformation efforts at the Air Force.

The company said Tuesday it will work on data and enterprise architectures, modernize platforms and integrate artificial intelligence into human capital business processes.

The Air Force wants to modernize its human capital IT portfolio, which includes consolidating systems that manage military personnel from recruitment to retirement,

Herndon, Virginia-headquartered ManTech will implement a commercial software-as-a-service platform for the Air Force. The Air Force currently uses Salesforce and ServiceNow platforms.

ManTech has fielded a team that includes Aviture, Glidefast, Jazz Solutions and iBusiness Corp.

“ManTech's digital transformation capabilities will play a pivotal role in revamping the Air Force's human capital systems portfolio,” David Hathaway, president of ManTech’s defense sector, said in a release.

ManTech will also implement change management strategies with the goal of improving the user’s experience and reduce sustainment costs.

ManTech's bid for the contract bundled expertise from multiple parts of the company including mission support and financial management; and AI, technology and data solutions.

The approach “proved an outstanding differentiator for Air Force decision-makers,” said Douglas Hammer, executive director of ManTech’s mission support solutions practice.
