According to a new sources sought notice, the IRS is searching for a contractor that can provide subject matter experts to assess the agency's current technical tax training materials.
IRS leaders also want the contractor to create and deliver training and job resources to agency employees, both new and existing.
The IRS aims to improve how it enforces tax laws that apply to large partnerships and large corporations, plus high-income and high-wealth individuals.
The agency wants revenue agents and economists to more efficiently review complex returns and gain broader access to tax experts.
The contractor will provide program management support and integrate their subject matter experts into IRS activities.
Reponses to the sources sought notice are due May 31.
