Navy kicks off work on training contract
The service branch wants a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business to support enterprise-wide training.
The Navy's Special Warfare Command is developing a new contract to support enterprise-wide training, which would include staffing, planning, and analysis.
The contract will be known as the NSW Training and Exercise Support Services program, according to solicitation documents released Wednesday.
NSWC is looking to choose a single service-disabled, veteran-owned small business for the TESS contract,
The contractor would be responsible for providing personnel, supplies, materials and program management. Other requirements include courses of instruction and travel to deliver exercise and training program services.
Training can take place in-theater or in the U.S., as well as on vessels. Training can occur simultaneously at different locations.
Responses to the sources sought notice are due Jan. 12.
A dollar value for the contract has not been established yet.
