The Renovus-owned company adds a Veteran Affairs-focused company that focuses on cloud computing, cybersecurity and digital modernization.
In its first acquisition in over two years, Aretum has purchased a tech contractor focused on the Veterans Affairs Department and other federal clients.
Terms of the transaction involving Veterans Engineering were not disclosed. Aretum said Thursday it is seeking to enhance its offerings around cloud delivery, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
Veterans Engineering also has customers at the departments of Homeland Security, State, and Energy. The Defense Health Agency is a client as well.
Aretum made the acquisition with the backing of Renovus Capital, which created Aretum in 2023 when it merged two earlier acquisitions. After its formation, Aretum went on to make two acquisitions that year.
In a release, CEO Rohit Gupta called the VE acquisition a “strategic leap forward.”
Aretum is looking to put more energy behind pursuits related to cloud modernization, enterprise cybersecurity, digital transformation and data-driven mission systems for agencies.
“Veterans Engineering’s technical strength, track record in complex modernization programs, and commitment to mission outcomes are an ideal complement to Aretum’s capabilities,” Gupta said.
