The long-time GovCon executive is retiring after 39 years at companies like NVIDIA, AT&T and Oracle.
Long-time government contracting executive Anthony Robbins is calling it a career and is retiring as vice president of federal at NVIDIA.
According to his LinkedIn post on Monday, Robbins told NVIDIA leadership in July that he would retire after at the end of the company’s fiscal year on Jan. 26.
Counting his seven years with NVIDIA, Robbins has worked in the federal space for 39 years.
“It was fascinating and challenging to work with so many leaders and teams to serve the technology needs of the government for the last 4 decades. Much progress made, a lot of work still to do,” he wrote.
Robbins' career prior to NVIDIA includes stints at AT&T, Brocade, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics, and Falcon Microsystems.
He is also a past president of AFCEA DC and was named a Federal 100 winner in 2020.
Apparently, he plans to spend a lot of time fishing. On LinkedIn, he shared an image his daughter created of him standing in a river in Alaska flyfishing with a grizzly bear in the background.
His signature sense of humor also is apparent through the image’s caption: "To the lovers of wilderness, Alaska is one of the most wonderful countries in the world.”
