Maximus adds former Leidos exec to C-suite
Derrick Pledger will lead technology modernization and enterprise IT strategies in a newly-created role at Maximus.
Maximus has hired Derrick Pledger to the role of chief digital and information officer, where he will lead technology modernization and enterprise IT strategies.
Pledger joins Maximus from Leidos, where he held a similar position and led a global team of technologists, developers, enterprise architects and service delivery experts.
“Derrick brings a wealth of experience to Maximus as a noted leader in technology modernization and strategic leadership, and we are excited about adding those skills to our talented executive team,” Maximus CEO Bruce Caswell said in a release.
The role of chief digital and information officer supersedes the traditional CIO role and will focus on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, Caswell said.
Pledger is also an Army veteran who served multiple tours of duty overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Horn of Africa in both public and private sector roles.
