Eqlipse Technologies acquires signal intelligence provider

Eqlipse Technologies and its private equity backer Arlington Capital Partners are continuing their push to further build up one of the market's newest middle-tier players.

Their latest move sees Eqlipse agree to acquire SR Technologies, a provider of signal intelligence and electronic warfare technologies. Terms of the transaction announced Wednesday were not disclosed, but all parties involved expect it to close before the end of the year.

This follows Eqlipse's acquisition in August of Net Vision Consultants, an analytics and engineering services firm. Terms of that transaction also were not disclosed.

Arlington Capital formed Eqlipse in March to create a company focused on cybersecurity, signals intelligence and intelligence offerings for national security agencies.

SRT brings to Eqlipse a 77,000-square-foot facility near Fort Lauderdale, Florida that houses work on custom-designed tactical solutions across mobile satellite communications, WiFi and Bluetooth signals of interest.

“We are proud to have SRT join the Eqlipse team and further expand our technical offerings to modernize the military's capabilities and deliver critical, cutting-edge technologies into the hands of the warfighter,” Eqlipse CEO Dennis Kelly said in a release.
