Edgewater hires former Amentum finance chief

This three-decade market veteran helped lead Amentum through its spinoff and launch as a standalone company.
Edgewater Federal Solutions has hired a new chief financial officer in Jake Kennedy, a three-decade market veteran who most recently worked in the same capacity at Amentum.
Frederick, Maryland-headquartered Edgewater said Monday that Kennedy's responsibilities will include the finance and accounting departments amid the company's push for expansion.
Kennedy was Amentum's CFO for the first two years following its spinoff from former parent AECOM to a pair of private equity firms. He also was part of the leadership team for that business when it was AECOM's management services segment.
He joins Edgewater approximately months after the company sold an equity stake in itself to the government market investment firm Blue Delta Capital Partners.
