Northrop books $690M defense intell data award

Northrop Grumman has secured a potential $690 million contract to work with the Defense Intelligence Agency on building a new data environment for housing information.

The Transforming All-Source Analysis with Location-Based Object Services task order will see Northrop act as enterprise module integrator for DIA in the effort to both create new big data systems and transform current databases.

TALOS was awarded on Aug. 14 through the General Services Administration’s Alliant 2 contract vehicle, Northrop said Wednesday.

As lead integrator, Northrop will apply artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to develop a new processing system capable of ingesting and managing large volumes of data to help users make decisions.
