NCI promotes finance chief

NCI Information Systems gives its chief financial officer Chuck Hicks additional responsibilities to steer the company's growth strategy.

NCI Information Systems has promoted Chief Financial Officer Chuck Hicks to the role of chief operating officer after nearly four months as the government IT company’s acting COO.

Hicks will also continue as CFO in addition to the new role that will focus on implementing greater operational efficiencies, partnerships with other companies and driving collaboration and innovation across the organization.

In its announcement Tuesday, NCI cited Hicks’ nearly two decades of executive-level experience primarily in financial management across the government market and commercial sectors.

He joined NCI last year after a stint as CFO at real estate firm Cresa Global and is a veteran of companies such as SC3, ASRC Federal, Science Applications International Corp. and the former USIS.
