Guidehouse adds Accenture vet Meehan

Guidehouse has hired longtime Accenture veteran Ed Meehan to be part of its leadership team.

Guidehouse said Tuesday it has hired longtime Accenture veteran Ed Meehan as leader of the former’s aerospace and defense practice that includes both federal and commercial customers.

More recently, Meehan was chief operating officer for Accenture Federal Services -- the global professional services giant’s subsidiary focused on the U.S. government market.

Meehan spent nearly 27 years at Accenture and prior to his COO role led the AFS subsidiary’s safety and citizen services portfolio that focused on homeland security, diplomacy and law enforcement agencies.

His experience at AFS was not limited to just federal as he also has supported state and local and non-governmental organizations.

Formerly the U.S. public sector business of PwC, Guidehouse was acquired last year by private equity firm Veritas Capital. Guidehouse has nearly 1,500 employees and posted fiscal year 2017 revenue of $509 million.

Meehan joins Guidehouse nearly two months after the consulting firm announced its hires of a pair of former General Electric human resources executives to the leadership team.

Todd Cordell was named chief HR officer and Jamilia Taylor was appointed head of HR operations.
