Four companies and three executives were recognized Monday night as the best in the government contracting field by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and Professional Services Council.
Those distinctions were part of the annual Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards program -- also known as the GovCon Awards -- produced by the chamber and PSC each year.
Individual executives and businesses are honored for their success, plus contributions to employees and wider community.
Awards are given in four revenue categories for the companies and three revenue categories for the executives.
This year’s chosen contractors are:
- ICF (greater than $300 million)
- Attain ($75 million-$300 million)
- Ad Hoc ($25 million-$75 million)
- InCadence (up to $25 million)
That was not the only recognition for ICF on the night. The company also was chosen for the “Program of the Year -- Large Business” award for its public health work.
Recognized executives are:
- John Goodman, Accenture Federal Services (greater than $300 million)
- John Wood, Telos Corp. ($75 million-$300 million)
- Marybeth Wootton, Berico Technologies (up to $75 million)
Also at the awards gala, ManTech International co-founder and Executive Chairman George Pedersen was inducted into the GovCon Hall of Fame, an honor that coincides with this year being the 50th anniversary of the company’s launch.
Emily Murphy, head of the General Services Administration, received the “Public Sector Partner of the Year” honor. Evans Inc. took home “Program of the Year -- Small Business” for its unmanned platform support services.
