Grant Thornton, Cotton & Co. win DoD audit work

Grant Thornton and Cotton & Co. have won a pair of contracts worth up to $54 million combined for audit services to a pair of U.S. military commands.

Both contracts from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service cover a 19-month base period with three one-year option periods. Grant Thornton will support U.S. Special Operations Command and Cotton & Co. will work with Transportation Command.

DFAS held competitive acquisition processes for both contracts with one quote received for the Special Operations Command contract and two for the Transportation Command program.

Work under both contracts will take place in Alexandria, Va.
